Alex Navarro is the Director of Community Health and Nutrition at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, where she leads work focused on nutrition, food safety, community engagement and health equity. She has served on the Advisory Board for the Nutrition Program at City College of San Francisco and participates in the San Mateo County Community Health Improvement Plan, focusing on social determinants of health. Alex also serves as a Community Advisory Board member for a Stanford University research project focused on developing community-centered nutrition interventions for parents with young children. She is passionate about ensuring our communities have the resources they need to thrive. Alex resides in Pacifica.

His deep community roots — growing up in San Francisco’s Excelsior District, raising his family for over a decade in Daly City, and now residing in San Mateo — reflect a lifelong connection to the Bay Area communities he serves. Chris is passionate about building strategic partnerships and advancing programs that uplift and strengthen the communities he calls home.
