Michael Stancil joined Daly City Partnership in August 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, stepping into leadership during an unprecedented surge in community need. Since then, Mike has guided significant expansion in food distribution, emergency assistance, behavioral health capacity, and collaborative partnerships while strengthening internal infrastructure and long-term sustainability. During his tenure, the organization has experienced measurable growth in service reach, workforce development, and strategic systems alignment, culminating in the completion and implementation of the 2025-2028 Strategic Plan.

Born in Hawai’i Mike is Native Hawaiian (Kanaka Maoli) and his Ohana (family) resides there. Growing up between Hawai‘i, San Francisco, and the San Mateo Peninsula are experiences that shaped his commitment to culturally responsive, community-centered leadership. He was a Daly City resident for over 15 years in the Westlake District before recently relocating to nearby Pacifica where he has raised his family and focused his volunteer work. He earned a double major in Psychology and Philosophy from San Francisco State University and brings a diverse professional background that includes hospital management and small business ownership in San Carlos. Prior to joining DCP, he spent 20 years with the YMCA, serving as a Director and Executive with both the San Francisco and Silicon Valley associations.

Jon Iiyama joined Daly City Partnership in 2020 and brings over 20 years of experience in community-based nonprofit leadership. He began his career in direct social services and youth programming serving low-income youth in Los Angeles and later spent 10 years with the YMCA of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, where he held program management, administration, operations, and executive-level roles.

Jon holds BA degrees in Asian American Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MA in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. His strengths include business operations, finance, and people development. At DCP, Jon oversees crossdepartmental alignment and operational strategy, ensuring programs are integrated, fiscally sound, and positioned for sustainable growth.

Marya Ouro-Gbeleou joined Daly City Partnership in 2016 and brings more than 20 years of experience in social services, grassroots development, and parent, youth, and early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Spanish. An analytical and strategic nonprofit leader, Marya specializes in fund development, grant writing, data evaluation, program development, and scaling services in response to increased community need. She leads DCP’s revenue strategy and monitoring framework, ensuring funding and impact remain closely aligned.

Irene Alvarenga joined Daly City Partnership in 2015 and has progressively taken on increasing leadership responsibility over the past decade. She oversees human resources, employment policy, compliance, and organizational culture, drawing on prior experience in a law firm environment. Irene has also served on the Kids First Education Foundation since 2011, including 10 years as Board President, and ensures DCP maintains strong employment practices, staff development systems, and organizational stability.

Mikaela O’Brien joined Daly City Partnership in 2022 and brings over 15 years of expertise in office management and multi-sector accounting. She oversees financial management, budgeting, compliance, and technology systems. Mikaela is dedicated to organizational sustainability through a commitment to accuracy, integrity and transparency. Originally trained as a paralegal and legal secretary, she leveraged her education within various law firms before transitioning into non-profit finance. Outside her professional role, she carries her passion for service into her personal life through multilingual volunteer work.

Michelle Silva joined Daly City Partnership in 2015 and has progressively increased areas of responsibility within the organization. She leads clientfacing stabilization services, including food access, emergency financial assistance, and coordinated case management. Michelle ensures frontline operations remain responsive, culturally competent, and integrated across departments.

A Daly City native, Michelle earned her Sociology degree from San Francisco State University and is deeply committed to serving the community she grew up in. Her personal connection to the area strengthens her dedication to supporting local families and ensuring that resources and services remain accessible to those who need them most. Through her work, Michelle demonstrates a passionate approach to giving back to the community that raised her and helping build a stronger, more resilient community.

Gabriela Godinez joined Daly City Partnership in 2017 and supports day-today management of client services and case management teams. Bringing lived experience and deep community trust, she plays a key role in staff supervision, quality assurance, and ensuring families receive coordinated, wraparound support.

Danny Plascencia joined Daly City Partnership in 2023 and leads community engagement and food distribution operations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside and brings prior experience in sales and operations. Danny oversees large-scale food distribution logistics and volunteer coordination, strengthening operational efficiency and partnership alignment.

Carlo Montemayor joined Daly City Partnership in October 2021 and serves as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing clinical supervision and behavioral health services. He previously worked as a Mental Health Clinician at Peggy H. Smith Counseling Clinic and Daly City Youth Health Center. Carlo holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University, strengthening culturally responsive care and workforce development at DCP.

Shaheen Dhanji joined Daly City Partnership in 2022 and brings nine years of prior experience as a classroom teacher and community organizer in Los Angeles. She leads DCP’s After School Academic Program, overseeing academic enrichment, site coordination, and family engagement while advancing equity-centered educational support.

Prior to DCP, Edian worked in San Francisco at a housing site serving older adults, providing case management and program coordination to support stability and reduce isolation.
