DALY CITY PARTNERSHIP TO HOST CONNECTIONS FOR A CAUSE EVENT TONIGHT TO HELP SUPPORT CRITICAL PROGRAMS

Longtime nonprofit organization to host fundraiser as part of worldwide Giving Tuesday celebrations

Daly City, CA—The Daly City Partnership (DCP), a nonprofit organization providing essential services to families in San Mateo County, will host Connections for a Cause—a fundraising event aligning with the international Giving Tuesday celebrations—on December 2.

The event will allow DCP supporters, employees, volunteers and advocates to connect with one another while helping to raise critical funds to support the organization’s programs.

WHERE: Nick and Nora Bar, 6282 Mission Street, Daly City

WHEN: 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 2

WHO:

·      Daly City Councilmember Juslyn C. Manalo

·      Colma City Council Member Thomas Walsh

·      Daly City Partnership Executive Director Mike Stancil

WHY: TheDCP, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, has been more critical than ever this year. With federal cuts affecting local families, particularly those who rely on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, the organization has been a lifeline of sorts through its food distribution programs. However, those services are also feeling the impacts of federal uncertainties, making it necessary for the organization to look for funding support from local, private and philanthropic foundations.
