Operation Santa Claus

Holiday gifts for children ages 1 to 14 in Daly City, Colma and Broadmoor — delivered to your door by volunteers.

Operation Santa Claus applications filled up faster than expected this year. If your family did not make the OSC list, our holiday program Presents with Purpose will open applications soon — hosted December 18 at the Community Service Center — so you will still have a chance to register.

An adult must be home on delivery night. Volunteers deliver gifts on Tuesday, December 15 between 7:00pm and 9:30pm. We cannot leave gifts unattended and we cannot reschedule.

Who can apply

  • Families living in Daly City, Colma or Broadmoor
  • Children aged 1 to 14
  • One application per household

Please apply early. We can serve a limited number of families. If we reach that number before applications close, we will contact you about another program that may be able to help.

What children receive

  • Ages 1 to 10 — a gift bag
  • Ages 11 to 14 — a gift card

Ages are counted as of delivery night, December 15, 2026. We ask for each child’s date of birth so the right gift reaches the right child.

How it works

  1. Apply online The form below takes about 15 minutes. Please set aside enough time to finish it in one sitting.
  2. Check your confirmation We email you straight away with a link to check your address and your children’s details. If you agreed to text messages, we may text you too.
  3. Confirm again in November About a month before delivery we contact you again to make sure nothing has changed and that someone will be home. A volunteer may also call you.
  4. Gifts arrive December 15 Volunteers deliver between 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Please make sure an adult is home.

Questions

What if nobody can be home on December 15?

Please answer honestly — there is a question about this on the application. December 15 is our only delivery night: we cannot deliver on a different day or arrange a second drop-off or pickup. If nobody can be home, you can apply to our holiday program Presents with Purpose instead, hosted December 18 at the Community Service Center. Presents with Purpose applications open once Operation Santa Claus is full.

What if my address or phone number changes?

Use the link in your confirmation email to tell us, or call (650) 301-3300. Please do not submit a second application.

I applied last year. Do I need to apply again?

Yes. Every family must apply again each year, even if you have received gifts from us before.

Can I choose what my child receives?

No. Gifts are chosen for you based on each child’s age. Children aged 1 to 10 receive a gift bag, and children aged 11 to 14 receive a gift card.

Is my information kept private?

Your application is seen by Daly City Partnership staff. The volunteers who deliver your gifts are given only what they need to find you and hand over the right gifts: your name, address, phone number, the language you speak, any delivery instructions, and each child’s first name, age and gender. They are not given your income, your benefits, or any other information from your application.
